If you're a Ltd (Limited Company) or LLP (Limited Liability Partnership) - Yes! This will be done through the registration process. The cost varies between £50-£300 depending on whether you DIY, (not recommended), or if you use a professional service i.e. YBAC/Lawyer/Accountant.
As a guide we charge £120 to set up the paperwork for registration which is very competitive.

If you are a Sole-Trader or Partnership there is no official registry of business names. There are some commercial alternatives but if you're looking to protect the name or logo through copyright, speak to your YBAC Small Business Adviser who will provide information on the options some of which involve nominal costs?
