The Whyte Knight Fund
A matched funded loan for those starting a business and existing small businesses in York.
If you are facing redundancy, recently unemployed and have a business idea that you want to 
progress or are an existing small business operating in York then the Whyte Knight Fund could help you. The loan is matched-funded to provide access to 50% finance of your potential requirements. It is an unsecured loan over 5 years at 1% over the prevailing Bank of England base rate.
To qualify you must either be or intending to set up a business in the City of York Council area. You will recently have been made redundant or have been unemployed within the last year.
The loan can be used for purchase of Capital Equipment or other business costs e.g. marketing/advertising, but may not be used for wages or payment of rent etc.
The Whyte Knight Fund is linked to a Mentoring process to provide ongoing business advice and support into the future.
